The primary function of PA faculty members is to provide high-quality education that meets the students' needs and fulfills the vision and mission of the Program and the University. An option to work fewer than five days per week exists for faculty who wish to maintain their clinical skills during the work week. Responsibilities include:

Teaching selected lecture, laboratory, and experiential activities Engaging in scholarly activities such as publishing, research and poster presentations Participating in service activities that may include University and Department committees, community service, and inter-professional activities Participating in the development, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum to achieve and maintain compliance with ARC-PA standards Providing supervision, instruction, advice and counsel to students in order to facilitate their successful completion of all learning objectives Serving as an ambassador for the PA program

Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Program Director.

Rank is commensurate with education and experience.



Applications may be considered as follows:

Physician Assistants with the following: A minimum of a bachelor?s degree in Physician Assistant Studies; a master?s in PA Studies is preferred Current NCCPA certification and eligibility for MA licensure A minimum of three years of clinical experience Candidates without a master's degree would be required to obtain a master?s degree in an appropriate field from an accredited institution within four years of hire. Teaching experience in higher education is preferred.

Physicians with the following: Current eligibility or unrestricted license as an allopathic or osteopathic physician in MA Certification by an ABMS or AOA-approved specialty board A minimum of three years of clinical experience

Health profession clinicians with the following: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline If bachelor's degree is not the terminal degree for the profession, the faculty member must obtain the terminal degree within three years of hire. Current eligibility or unrestricted license in field of practice in MA A minimum of three years of clinical experience Teaching experience in higher education preferred

Non-clinician scientists: A doctorate degree in a healthcare-related discipline A minimum of three years of experience

Candidates must have strong organizational and computer skills.
