Boston University FIELD ED PLACEMENT AND PARTNERSHIP, School of Social Work,Off Campus & Online in BOSTON, Massachusetts

BUSSW has more than 100 years of social work education history, a dynamic faculty leading innovative research on pressing social justice issues, and graduate students engaged in programs across five residential campuses and online.

Our mission is to develop dynamic and diverse social work practitioners, leaders, and scholars through rigorous teaching, innovative research, and transformative community engagement. We invite you to join an innovative team working with students living throughout the USA who are enrolled in a national online Master of Social Work program. This position is responsible for placing BUSSW students in internships, developing new internship sites and partnerships, consulting with and supporting advisors, facilitating Integrative Seminars for students and, teaching and facilitating Seminars for New and current Field Instructors.

We seek an individual who will help build a culture of inclusion and solidarity amongst the student body, promote student engagement and empowerment by building strong and consistent relationships; a collaborator, with strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills; the ability to multi-task, work independently, and be team oriented; and have comfort with use of computer technology.

Required Skills

  • Masters in Social Work (MSW) and social work license eligibility with 3-5 years of post-graduate experience in social work practice and supervision of MSW student interns.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, strong work ethic, detail-oriented multi-tasker able to prioritize work responsibilities and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate on a cross-functional team.

  • Commitment to Anti-oppressive social work practice and social justice.
