Job Description

Works independently to provide advanced administrative support to the Director of the MS in Medical Sciences Program. Contact and impact of work includes key constituents both internal and external to the University including faculty, current students and prospective students. Composes correspondence and documentation on behalf the Program Director and conducts necessary research to ensure all the topic details are accurate and complete. Works with minimal supervision to anticipate and follow up on responsibilities.

Required Skills

Key Responsibilities: will support Program Director in two main areas: recruitment of potential students to the program and providing support for current students in matters related to their applications to professional school. Recruitment will involve communication with prospective students by phone, email and in person and attendance at recruitment events. Will also have a major responsibility for reviewing applications for completeness. Support for current students will involve communications related to deadlines and program requirements and preparing a draft of a recommendation letter for each student.
