A Dental Hygienist is a licensed member of the dental team. They are responsible for the preventive aspects of oral health that provide clinical, education and therapeutic services and promote optimal oral health. This position is responsible for:
Collecting patient and clinical data by reviewing and updating medical history, identifying contraindications and requesting medical clearance as necessary.
Performing oral cancer screenings and perio assessments, charting dental findings.
Practicing infection control by maintaining a sterile environment in the operatory, inspecting instruments for sterility.
Practicing universal precautions.
Providing clinical services by exposing radiographs, performing dental cleanings, performing scaling and root planning with the local anesthesia, dispense fluoride and administer therapeutic agents.
Providing patient education by reviewing home care, oral hygiene instructions and reviewing treatment plans with the patient.
Must possess a Dental Hygienist License
Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience required

documented proof of immunizations for:
Two Measles, Mumps Rubella (MMR) - live vaccine or titers indicating immunity to Measles , Mumps and Rubella
Three Hepatitis B - recombinant vaccine and a Hep B Surface Antibody titer indicating immunity or a signed declination for Hepatitis B Vaccine
Two Varicella-zoster live-virus vaccine, or Varicella IGG AB titer indicating immunity
TDAP (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis i.e. whooping cough) within last ten years
Influenza vaccine or signed declination
IGRA Tuberculosis blood test.
Positive TST with Chest Xray and treatment information
Medical Clearance Process: Medical Clearance Process: includes Occupational Health evaluation and immunization/titer level review. Must be eligible to receive required vaccinations as needed
References: We require 2-3 professional references (no friends or family) with at least 1 previous supervisor.
