Boston University INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH BOARD ANALYST, School of Medicine, Clinical Research in BOSTON, Massachusetts
The IRB Analyst performs regulatory analysis and administrative review of IRB submissions by BMC and BU Medical Campus investigators to ensure compliance with Federal research regulations, HIPAA and institutional policies. This includes review of initial submissions, renewals, amendments, and reportable events. Maintains documentation of IRB review in accordance with Federal regulations and institutional policies. Conducts pre-review of expedited and exempt research under the supervision of a senior analyst or IRB Administrator and review of proposals to cede studies to external IRBs. Works collaboratively with other IRB staff in preparation of materials for review by the convened board. Provides direct instruction, assistance, support and regulatory guidance to researchers regarding IRB submissions and the IRB electronic system.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree required. Master's preferred. 1-3 years' experience, preferably as a research coordinator.
