Boston University INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER, Office of the Provost, BU Virtual in BOSTON, Massachusetts
Work in partnership with faculty to develop and implement BU Virtual's fully online courses and manage program-wide portfolios, building innovative degree programs.
Oversee project schedules and manage all aspects of the design process, resolving issues related to technology use in instruction, including assessment, andragogy, deployment methodologies, and integration strategies.
Collaborate with faculty, media producers, Student Support Administrators, and other team members to review course content, suggest multimedia strategies, and ensure that completed online courses meet the University's quality standards.
Required Skills
A cover letter is required for consideration.
Master's Degree in Instructional Design or education-related discipline
At least three years of experience in online course development
Strong communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize
Experience and demonstrated competence with HTML, CSS, Blackboard LMS, and website technologies
An ability to apply andragogy to online courses
