Job Description

The Instructional Media Producer/Technologist Specialist fulfills the Medical Campus Godley Studio media production functions and serves as an Instructional Technology Specialist. Participates in media projects and assists with the management of project components. Advises on, conducts and oversees media production. Collaborates with other members of the BUMC IT Educational Media team, and other external and internal partners of the university. Serves as a resource to assist faculty, staff and students in the design, development, management and fulfillment of media projects. Ensures studio is “production ready” for trained self-service client. Provides service to clients who require production assistance. Maintains all service areas of the studio.

As an Instructional Technologist Specialist, the position serves on multiple project teams in a variety of roles such as Project Manager, Project Lead, Technical Lead or Client Lead, in support of established and emerging educational technology systems and services. Responsible to advise management on emerging technology setups, testing and verification of the solutions. Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and provide expert support for a wide variety of established and emerging media, computer and classroom technology systems and services on the Medical Campus. Focus is on consistently providing best in class support to the technology client community of faculty, staff and students, in the classroom and in support of scheduled Medical Campus events.

This position may entail being on call and working evening, weekend and/or holiday hours as needed.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree required with 3-5 years of experience. Master’s degree preferred.
