The Sawyer Business School, Suffolk University is seeking qualified applicants to consider for adjunct instructor positions to teach 1 credit CareerLinks courses. The innovative CareerLinks program was shortlisted for the Wharton-QS Stars Reimagine Education Awards in 2015. Career Explore (SBS 200), Career Build (SBS 300) and Career Launch (SBS 400) are one credit courses that are required for students in their sophomore, junior and senior years respectively. Each courses includes self-reflection, planning and involvement, specific career development skills, approaches to networking and career research. Each course is highly coordinated and intended to build on but not replicate the proceeding course.
Graduate degree in a related field, several years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
Human Resources, academic advising, career coaching or managers who have a portfolio of complete supervisory responsibilities in a business setting.
Successful candidates will also demonstrate significant interest and motivation to work with diverse, motivated and high achieving undergraduate business school students.
Ability to use technology in the classroom including, but not limited to the University's learning management system Blackboard is critical as well as strong oral and written communication skills.
