CloudZero IT Systems Engineer in Boston, Massachusetts
About the Role:
As an IT Systems Engineer at CloudZero, you’ll be a valued member of our IT Group, working closely with the IT manager to drive innovation and ensure the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. In this pivotal role, you’ll be empowered to enhance processes through automation and documentation while collaborating with the Security team to maintain a secure and efficient IT environment.
This position thrives on collaboration, and we encourage in-office presence 3-4 times a week to foster teamwork and meaningful connections. You’ll also play a key role in supporting a dynamic, nationwide workforce, with occasional flexibility for meetings outside typical East Coast hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a member of the IT, actively engaging in the enhancement processes through automation and documentation.
Manage and maintain various IT solutions critical to the organization's success.
Collaborate closely with the Security team to develop and implement secure practices across all IT tooling.
Spearheaded initiatives to improve IT systems and processes through automation, leveraging scripting and tool management.
Assist in first-line support within a small, dynamic IT organization, demonstrating excellent soft skills and the ability to address technical issues efficiently.

Requirements
3+ years of experience in IT, with a strong background in managing and configuring
2+ years of experience in OKTA Workflows and/or proven experience in Automation utilizing scripting (BASH, Python) to automate tasks and streamline operations.
IT tools include JAMF (including package management and deployment), Okta SSO, Slack, JIRA, and Google Workspace.
Exceptional people skills with the ability to serve as first-line support, offering solutions and assistance with a customer-focused approach.
Comfortable driving IT-related projects from start to completion while working with stakeholders across the business.
A demonstrated history of initiating IT processes and systems improvements through innovative technology.
A strong commitment to creating and maintaining a secure IT environment in collaboration with security professionals.
