Who We’re Looking For

As part of a passionate and driven Course Development Team, you will make a meaningful contribution to the growth and success of Esme Learning.

You will collaborate with Esme Learning staff to create professional education courses. You will transform originally produced content into engaging and effective online learning experiences. You will develop formative and summative assessments, envision and drive creation of interactives and visuals, and build the learning experience in the LMS. You will also work closely with producers on high-quality videos and audio to support the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with the Lead Instructional Designer to understand the vision of the course and scope the work that needs to be done.

  • Collaborate with SMEs, video producers, writers, visual designers, and others to develop research-based lessons.

  • Create high-quality assessments and exercises that align with learning outcomes.

  • Develop the course in the learning management system.

  • Manage course testing and review activities.

  • Positively respond to feedback, peer reviews, and editorial work, and contribute the same for other projects.

  • Work closely with the Program Manager to make sure all tasks are completed on time.

  • Exceed learner satisfaction goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree. Masters in Instructional Design, Education Technology, or a related field a plus.

  • 3+ years of experience designing online learning experiences for adult learners.

  • Experience building content in learning management systems. EdX experience is a plus.

  • Ability to learn new subjects quickly and interest in new technologies and business practices.

  • Exceptional educational content samples.

  • Understanding of the needs and challenges faced by adult learners.

  • Demonstrated teamwork skills.

  • Passion for excellence and adaptability.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and deal with ambiguity.
