This role, reporting to the Director or Learning and Development will create learning content and communication that results best in class employee experience.

  • Design and develop L&D content including online and classroom curriculum, ILT PowerPoints, micro-learnings, assessments, feedback surveys, progress evaluations.

  • Act as a Learner Advocate across the populations at Suffolk, keeping the Learner’s experience first.

  • Stay current with L&D Industry trends, technologies, and innovations to elevate learning offerings.

  • Ensure adherence to good instructional design principles and practices i.e. ADDIE and more.

  • Ensure that the L&D Team’s intake process and SOPs are followed; identify areas of improvement.

  • Support all ongoing training programs; manage and update training material as needed, with an eye towards continuous improvement.

  • Support and execute on the organization-wide learning experience and communication strategy.

  • Continue self-development in foundational L&D related knowledge, skills and competencies.

  • Support the development of leadership and manager development programs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Human Resources, Instructional Design or related field, or commensurate experience

  • 3 years of directly relevant experience

  • Ability to assess employee and organizational needs and create content catering to those needs

  • Ability to work with stakeholders across the business, effectively present ideas and lead meetings

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, OneDrive).

  • Proven ability to develop engaging training material, lessons, and presentations across a variety of learning types and abilities

  • Demonstrates a strong eye for visual design – able to work within a brand while building a unique look and feel

  • Experience with LMS administration & management; proven ability to quickly learn new learning technologies

  • Experience with content and video creation and tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Vyyond or similar

  • Collaborative, results-driven, and service-oriented

  • Highly organized; able to prioritize and multi-task

  • Wants to continue to grow in career

  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Resourceful with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills; sound business judgement

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level.
