Sunrun National Service Manager, Supply Chain Ops in Boston, Massachusetts

Overview
The National Service Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing service operations across the organization, ensuring timely, high-quality support for customers and internal teams. This role focuses on service execution, process improvement, and customer satisfaction, driving efficiency and consistency in service delivery nationwide.
The role requires close collaboration with supply chain, customer support, field service teams, and logistics to enhance response times, streamline service workflows, and improve parts availability. The National Service Manager will oversee service performance, implement best practices, and leverage technology to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute national service strategies to improve efficiency, response times, and customer satisfaction.
Oversee and optimize service workflows, including service requests, dispatching, and parts availability.
Implement best practices for service delivery, ensuring consistency and adherence to performance standards.
Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to improve parts forecasting and reduce service delays.
Lead service training programs to enhance technical proficiency and customer service skills across teams.
Monitor service metrics, analyze trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Establish strong partnerships with internal teams, including customer support and field operations, to align service objectives with business goals.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, service standards, and company policies.
Implement technology solutions, such as service management software and automation, to enhance efficiency.
Manage escalations, resolve complex service issues, and drive customer-focused solutions.
Develop workforce planning strategies to optimize staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation for service teams.
Lead service teams by providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development opportunities.
Partner with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely availability of service parts and materials.
Maintain service documentation, reporting, and compliance records.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in service operations, field service management, or supply chain-related service roles.
Strong understanding of service management, customer support, and operational efficiency best practices.
Experience with service management software, CRM systems, and data analysis tools.
Knowledge of inventory planning, logistics, and supply chain processes related to service operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proven track record in process improvement, change management, and cross-functional collaboration.
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process optimization methodologies preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer service orientation and ability to build relationships across teams.
Experience leading geographically dispersed teams is a plus.
Physical Demands
Requires extended periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward
Ability to stand for entire shift on concrete floors
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and 50+ lbs with assistance
Ability to work in a non-climatically controlled environment throughout the year
Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment
Ability to work alone and self supervise
Ability to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of work
Ability to interact with co-workers and participate in meetings
Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50lbs frequently unassisted)
Able to hear alarms and commands from a distance
Able to use ladders and step stools to access materials
Able to operate a forklift, and push and pull hand carts and hand trucks
Able to read labels and identify symbols

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity:
$76,415.98 to $101,887.97

Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, based on both company and individual performance, as well as short- and long-term incentives and program-specific awards. Compensation decisions will not be based on a candidate's salary history.
