The Information Systems and Operations Management Department of the Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University invites applications for a non-tenure-tracking, visiting professor position beginning September 2024. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our academic community and engage with students while bringing expertise in business analytics .

Responsibilities:

Teaching: Design and deliver courses in business analytics at undergraduate and/or graduate levels, incorporating hands-on exercises and real-world applications. The teaching load is 4 courses ( 12 credits) a semester at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Curriculum Development: Contribute to developing and enhancing the business analytics curriculum, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Business Analytics, Data Science, Management Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in business analytics, data visualization, machine learning , and programming languages such as R, Python, or SQL. Knowledge of Cybersecurity is a plus.

Teaching Experience: Previous experience teaching business analytics or related courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level is highly desirable.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and industry partners.

Additional Information:

This is a visiting position for one year w ith the possibility of renewal.
