Boston University OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance in BOSTON, Massachusetts

Provide management, administrative support and coordination for the PERD department and Executive Director, with; scheduling; oral and written communication; purchasing; conducting administrative responsibilities and providing customer service. The Officer Administrator, PERD will also independently manage, hire and train frontline student staff to cover the Administrative Officer Administrator, PERD Reception Desk and other event staff as required. This role will also manage the 10 PERD committees, including staff recognition awards and all staff orientation, with independent decision-making responsibilities. This position will require schedule changes to accommodate the coordination of meetings and events that occur during early mornings, late evenings and some weekends throughout the year. Department needs permitting, this role may work up to two days a week remotely.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's with one to three years of experience required or will consider equivalent experience.

  • This position will require schedule changes to accommodate the coordination of meetings and events that occur during early mornings, late evenings and some weekends throughout the year.
