The TOEFL iBT test is seeking instructors and graduate students to identify passages for use in its reading section. The TOEFL iBT Reading test assesses English-language skills in an academic environment and is taken primarily by nonnative speakers planning to study at universities where English is the primary language of instruction. The passages that the reading section is seeking are taken from high-quality academic publications in the physical sciences, arts, and social sciences. Accepted passages are generally found in entry-level college textbooks and/or in university or commercial press monographs that might be used in an introductory college course. The ideal candidate will be a graduate student or instructor in the sciences or arts with a sense for clearly-written 700-word excerpts that are suitable for evaluating the reading ability of a diverse, worldwide testing population.
