The Psycho-educator Evaluator will be responsible for:
Administering and scoring standardized cognitive and language assessments to children ages 4 to adulthood.
Collaborating with research team to implement research protocols.
Establishing and maintaining rapport with research participants and their families.
Maintaining research blindness and reliability in the laboratory.
Establishing and maintaining accurate paper and electronic records for subject evaluations.
Performing related duties as requested.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in psychology, education, speech-language pathology or other relevant area.
Experience administering standardized psycho-educational assessments, especially language and literacy assessments.
Clearly demonstrated clinical work experience working with children and their parents.
Detail-orientation and excellent organizational skills.
The ability to work independently.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English.
Availability during the day and some weekends and evenings.
The willingness to travel to Children’s Hospital at Waltham and Boston (car preferred).
A flexible schedule to work 5-10 hours per week with availability on Saturdays, preferred.
The Psycho-educator Evaluator will administer several psychoeducational assessments pertaining to cognitive, language, and pre-reading development, including tests such as KBIT, CTOPP, and Mullen scales of early learning. The position involves conducting sessions of approximately three hours in length with research participants ranging in age from 4 to adulthood, as well as the scoring of these assessments. The candidate will work at Boston Children’s Hospital both at the main (Boston) location and the Waltham location.
