Penn Foster Pharmacy Technician Adjunct Instructor - Independent Contractor in Boston, Massachusetts

Position Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician Independent Contractor is responsible for evaluating and grading student assignments during the practicum skills portion of their program prior to the externship. The ideal candidate will ensure students meet the established learning objectives and support the growth and development of the program to comply with industry standards and the needs of the community. The contractor will also provide substantial feedback on practicum skills assessment forms to help the student improve their skills as the go into the workforce. The contractor will also respond to student emails and hold one-on-one tutoring appointments.

This is a remote position with no travel.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review, evaluate, and provide feedback to students in the practicum skills portion of our program.

  • Upload feedback to students using technology systems.

  • Provide academic support and advising to students to include but not limited to using distance education technologies, appointment scheduler, and email

  • Participate in accreditation needs, including but not limited to DEAC

  • Perform other duties commensurate with the functions and level of the position.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Must be a certified pharmacy technician (CPhT) and adhere to state regulations for licensure;

  • Have a minimum of an associate’s degree;

  • A minimum of 3 years work experience related to the area of teaching

  • Prior online teaching experience preferred

  • Must have excellent computer skills, ability to work independently, think critically, communicate effectively and efficiently, and enjoy being part of a team.
