This Physician Assistant will be responsible for:
Providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages and with all types of conditions.
Eliciting histories, performing examinations, performing and interpreting diagnostic studies.
Performing therapeutic procedures, instructing and counseling patients about their diagnosis.
Working simultaneously with program coordinator for ongoing management of individual treatment plans and complex coordination of care.
Providing care coordination across multiple specialties including, but not limited to: Plastic and Oral Surgery, Neurosurgery, Dentistry, Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Sleep Medicine.
Preparing pre-clinic summaries for individual patients detailing past medical history to present to the team as well as post-clinic summaries documenting multidisciplinary recommendations.
Understanding the role is primarily clinic-based (non-procedural) and also includes collaboration with quality improvement and research personnel.
To qualify, you must have:
A graduate degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
A current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Physician Assistant.
1 year of Physician Assistant experience in the operating room and/or in a clinic setting.
2 years craniofacial and cleft lip/palate care experience as well as pediatric critical care experience strongly preferred.
Analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of clinical, scientific or technical principles, theories and concepts and in-depth, cross-functional experience-based knowledge.
Strong communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and medicated fair solutions, well-developed writing and organizational skills as well as adaptability with an ever changing environment.
The ability to work 40 hours per week: days/evenings Monday - Friday mainly in Boston and Waltham, with the possibility of travel to other satellite locations.
