This Physician Assistant will be responsible for:
Providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages and with all types of conditions.
Eliciting histories, performing examinations, and performing and interpreting diagnostic studies.
Performing therapeutic procedures, and instructing and counseling patients about their diagnosis.
Working simultaneously with program coordinator for ongoing management of individual treatment plans and complex coordination of care.
Provide care coordination across multiple specialties including, but not limited to, Plastic and Oral Surgery, Neurosurgery, Dentistry, ORL, Ophthalmology, Sleep Medicine.
Prepare pre-clinic summaries for individual patients detailing past medical history to present to the team as well as post-clinic summaries documenting multidisciplinary recommendations.
Understanding the role is primarily clinic-based (non-procedural) and also includes collaboration with quality improvement and research personnel.
To qualify, you must have:
The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of an accredited Physician Assistant’s program.
The analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of clinical, scientific or technical principles, theories and concepts and in-depth, cross-functional experience-based knowledge.
Communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and medicated fair solutions, and well-developed writing skills.
Previous complex craniofacial and cleft lip/palate care experience as well as pediatric critical care experience.
A current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Physician Assistant.
The Plastic and Oral Surgery Department seeks a reliable and dedicated individual to support the care coordination of the department's cleft and craniofacial patient population.
The ideal candidate should possess experience in the clinical and operating room settings and well as a strong interest and understanding of the Plastic and Oral Surgery disciplines. The PA will split time mainly between the Boston and Waltham locations with the possibility of travel to other satellite locations.
