The Simmons University School of Business is seeking applicants for a tenure-track position in Accounting at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, to begin Fall 2019. Accredited by AACSB International, the Simmons School of Business is committed to providing a premier business education. The undergraduate business programs (BSBA), with majors in accounting, finance, retail management, marketing, and management, are exclusively for women. Graduate programs include coed online MBA programs in Business Administration and Business Administration in Health Care. The position is a tenure track appointment in Accounting at the Assistant/Associate Professor beginning Fall 2019 (start date July 1, 2019, negotiable). Candidates are expected to have an active research agenda, show evidence of potential for a solid record of peer-reviewed publications, and demonstrate currency in the field. Applicants with a current professional certification are preferred. These certifications might include, but are not limited to, a CPA or CMA. Applicants must have good communication skills, technological abilities, and enthusiasm consistent with teaching excellence and instructional innovation. Responsibilities include:

Teaching, research, and service.

Advising undergraduate students, contributing to the assessment of student learning outcomes, and engaging in other service activities within the school, university, business community, and accounting profession.

Collaborating with faculty, academic advisors and program administrators, as needed, to assess and resolve student and faculty concerns according to policies and procedures of the School of Business and College.
