Job Description

The Center for Promise, the Research Institute for America's Promise Alliance housed at the School of Education at BU, is seeking a postdoctoral associate lead quantitative research studies under the mentorship of the Executive Director. The Center's research agenda explores how to create the conditions so that all young people have an opportunity to thrive academically, socially, emotionally, vocationally, and civically. Responsibilities will include: Managing the overall logistical tasks of studies, Develop quantitative protocols and analysis plans, supervise and mentor a team of researchers, including graduate students. Present research at national and international meetings. Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and special interest publications. Write reports for practice and policy audiences. Contribute to general project oversight.

Required Skills

Ph.D. or Ed.D. in a social science field with a focus on developmental science. Knowledge of mixed-methods designs. Expertise with advanced quantitative statistical methods, such as structural equation modeling, fixed-effects/multi-level modeling, and longitudinal analysis. Demonstrated interest and commitment to work in youth development. Excellent writing and publication record. Experience working in a team environment. Experience with project management.
