Job Description
We are seeking a postdoc to work on DOD prostate cancer grant 9500310181 on a project implementing procedures to grow organoid cultures from breast and prostate cancer tissue.
This person will work with individual investigators and members of the BUMC Flow Cytometry Core, BUMC Single Cell Sequencing core, and Biospecimen Archive Research Core (BARC) to optimize and apply these protocols to clinical samples.
Required Skills
- Masters, or equivalent degree in cell biology, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, or related fields.- Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English are required.- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are required. - U.S. permanent residency status or ability to obtain visa is required.- Experience performing cell culture and flow cytometry is required.- Experience developing or applying dissociation techniques in the context of single cell RNA-seq or organoid cultures are preferred.
