The Research Assistant I will be responsible for:

  • Managing the large colony of mice (breeding and genotyping)

  • Performing behavioral analysis of various rodent models.

  • Maintaining records of results and methodologies into a log of work performed. Compiling and helping analyze data, preparing charts, graphs, and results of studies.

  • Carrying out all laboratory activities in compliance with applicable regulations and protocols.

To qualify, you must have…

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacology, Physiology or a closely related field,

  • Excellent rodent handling skills are essential. Ideally, the applicant must have some experience of mouse phenotyping and behavioral testing.

  • Understanding of the principles of mouse breeding.

  • Evidence of good organizational and interpersonal skills, an ability to work to agreed timelines and willingness to learn will also be expected.

  • Two years commitment is highly desired.
