Job Description
Join our Visual Compute and Graphics Lab as a Research Scientist Intern, where you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of graphics technology and experiences. In this role, your r *esponsibilities will include: *
Conduct research and develop new techniques in real-time 3D rendering and parallel algorithms.
Collaborate with a team of experts to explore innovative graphics and machine learning solutions.
Analyze data and present findings through technical reports and publications.
Contribute to the development of Intel's graphics hardware and software products.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in graphics and machine learning to drive innovation.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
*Minimum Qualifications: *
- Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a STEM-related with an emphasison computer graphics and machine learning (ML).
At least 1 + year of experience in the following areas :
Modern C/C++ and Python programming.
Broad range of AI algorithms, principles, and ML frameworks such as PyTorch.
Developing advanced graphics algorithms, including raster graphics, ray tracing, physically based light transport, and more.
Graphics APIs (e.g., OpenGL, Vulkan, DirectX), shading languages (e.g., GLSL, HLSL), and/or GPGPU (CUDA, SYCL, OpenCL).
Preferred Qualifications:
Pursuing a PhD degree.
Publications in top-tier computer graphics conferences and/or journals.
Mathematical background, including linear algebra, numerical optimization, and probabilistic estimation.
Relevant research or software engineering experience, including internships, coding competitions, or contributions in open-source repositories (e.g. GitHub).
Experience applying machine learning techniques to real-time graphics.
Knowledge of GPU architecture and performance characteristics.
Experience using profilers and debugging tools for performance analysis.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US $63,000.00-$166,000.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
