Cayuse Holdings Senior Application Programmer in Boston, Massachusetts

Overview

Established as a means of recognizing cost savings through the consolidation of State IT assets and resources. The creation of OTS consolidated a wide variety of existing hardware platforms, operating systems, database management systems, networks, third-party software, and custom applications.

Leads the State’s technology procurement process in order to standardize technology over the entire organization, and seek efficiencies of operations, maintenance, and scalability of new products introduced to the OTS suite of services which can eventually be offered to all in-scope agencies.

This role is for General Application Support

This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced expertise for the administration, configuration and support of applications.

  • Provide expert development of custom applications to support agency workflow.

  • Provide expert development of custom applications to support the agency’s financial support team.

  • Provide advanced expertise to develop and maintain custom applications to support agency initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Here’s What You Need

  • Expert knowledge of .NET languages and technologies with a minimum ten (10) years of experience.

  • Experience developing applications to support state agency financial support teams.

  • Experience developing applications providing workflow solutions utilizing Exchange APIs for a state agency providing insurance coverage.

  • Experience developing applications supporting document management of insurance applications, claims, etc. utilizing the P8 API.

  • Experience enforcing state mandated application development requirements such as logins using Active Directory.

  • Experience communicating with a DB/c system utilizing XML interfaces.

  • Experience developing applications to generate and read files for the CMS Section 111 process.

  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

  • Must possess problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written

  • Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency.

  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.

  • Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.

  • Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.

  • Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

Pay Range

USD $122,304.00 - USD $146,681.60 /Yr.
