Wayfair Senior Associate, Transportation Procurement in Boston, Massachusetts

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Global Transportation Procurement team as a Senior Associate. In this role, you will manage our key parcel carrier partnerships and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our transportation services align with our strategic business objectives. This position is critical in driving performance improvements and mitigating risks within our transportation network.

About the Team:

The Global Transportation Procurement team plays a critical role in managing Wayfair’s transportation network by overseeing procurement activities and commercial relationships with carriers across our global supply chain. We work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to optimize transportation solutions, negotiate competitive contracts, and drive operational efficiencies.

Our team is at the forefront of strategic decision-making, ensuring that Wayfair’s logistics network remains agile, cost-effective, and customer-focused. By collaborating with industry-leading carriers and leveraging data-driven insights, we continuously enhance delivery speed, service reliability, and overall supply chain performance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Commercial Management: Oversee the commercial relationship with our primary parcel carriers, ensuring that service capabilities meet evolving business needs.

  • Market Analysis: Evaluate alternative carrier capabilities and pricing strategies in preparation for upcoming contract renewals.

  • Relationship Management: Manage high-impact carrier partnerships that supports a substantial volume of shipments and significant annual expenditures.

  • Contract & Financial Oversight: Lead efforts in contract analysis and negotiation, support audit processes, and assist in financial recovery initiatives related to billing discrepancies and service disputes.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to advance key operational initiatives and maintain continuity in service delivery.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, contract management, or logistics—ideally within the transportation or parcel services industry.

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with an ability to manage complex partnerships effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of working successfully in cross-functional teams.

An Important Note about Wayfair's In-Office Policy:

All Boston-based interns, Co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on designated days, Monday - Thursday, and work remotely Friday.
