Job Description

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific for impactful work as a Senior Inventory Coordinator in Boston, MA, aiding in cancer research and food safety.

Job Responsibilities

• Apply Thermo Fisher Scientific's or customer's inventory/order management systems for activities such as on-site program replenishments and disbursements, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry, expediting, customer service call resolution, product returns, and backorder processing.

• Deliver inventory packages within a laboratory environment, sustaining and maintaining stockroom inventory in flawless condition.

• Follow detailed work processes as outlined by our written procedures, ensuring world-class service.

• Listen to customer concerns, address issues with a goal of resolution within the established timeframe, and communicate proactively with supervisors.

• Engage in process improvement activities to continuously improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; college degree preferred.

Experience

• 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably within a laboratory setting or services.

• Proven customer service skills, with strong verbal, written, and presentation capabilities.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Strong English communication skills, with a desire to deliver excellent customer service.

• Ability to collaborate with various levels of personnel and customers.

• Proficiency in operating handheld scanners and performing data entry.

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite.

• Capable of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.

• Ability to work independently at customer sites.

• Willingness to work in environments with chemical-based allergens.

• Physical capability to lift, push, and pull 30-40 pounds consistently; may lift up to 50 pounds.
