The Senior Philanthropic Advisor will be responsible for building relationships and securing seven- and eight-figure gifts from high net worth individuals in support of University priorities. The Advisor will manage a portfolio of approximately 75 alumni, parents, and friends and will be responsible for developing strategies, often in partnership with Development colleagues, that deepen prospective donors’ understanding of Boston College’s mission and priorities. Success will be measured by the Senior Philanthropic Advisor’s ability to move prospective donors through the qualification and cultivation processes to solicitation, the outcomes of these solicitations, and the Advisor’s ability to collaborate effectively with Development colleagues and University leaders.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $151,350 to $189,200; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten years fund-raising experience, preferably in a higher education campaign environment or other complex non-profit setting. Alternatively, experience at a leadership level in a role that would have direct correlation to success as the Senior Philanthropic Advisor at Boston College will be considered. In either case, the incumbent must have demonstrated the ability to successfully solicit and close seven-figure plus gifts or investments from individuals.
