Senior Program Manager, Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine Program
The Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine Program in Graduate Medical Sciences in the BU School of Medicine is recruiting an experienced senior program manager of a large program to manage both the financial and operational aspects as well as the admissions, recruitment and student/applicant contact. Reporting directly to the Director of the MHCBM, the successful applicant will also work closely with core program faculty and staff of the Division of Graduate Medical Sciences.
Qualifications: The skills of this job include the following:
Admissions and Recruitment: Manage recruitment activities including marketing, communication, and event planning for prospective students, faculty and staff. Tasks include drafting advertisement copy, organizing interviews, working with Human Resources, GMS and Departments to facilitate offers. Manage orientation of course educators including developing internal policies and procedures, and the use of teaching platforms.
Budget and Fiscal Planning: Responsible for procurement, reimbursements to multiple and one time vendors. Implements course educator contracts. Mastery of budgetary software, spreadsheets, payroll and expense management.
Data Management: Lead data analytic tasks associated with the program for students, faculty and alumni. This includes mastery of the program performance management plan (PPM) utilizing Clear Impact software.
Website & Social Media: Lead efforts to refine Program website and other social media including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Develop and implement SOPs for managing social media.
Faculty Staff: Manage MHCBM Faculty academic appointments at BUSM, including the process of initial appointments and promotion.
Grants: Identify opportunities and participate in grant and/or proposal writing and fundraising activities.
Key Stakeholders: Serve as a principal liaison with key internal and external stakeholders including at BUSM, CRC campuses.
Accreditation: Manage key aspects of accreditation (CACREP) including documentation related to the Program self-study, data collection and analysis.
The successful candidate will have superior verbal, written and computational skills in order to manage the following operations of the MHCBM program.
A minimum of a Bachelors degree with a Masters significantly preferred with 3-5 years of experience in an academic program setting.
