STEM Pathways Director We are looking for individuals with a passion for STEM outreach, the ability to work in dynamic academic environments, and the ability to provide administrative support for a multi-million dollar program. this position will work with Boston Universitys College of Engineering leadership, the United States Department of Defense, and the STEM Pathways program (www.stempathways.org) to implement a comprehensive outreach program involving research, education, and training aimed at high school students.
This program will establish a STEM pipeline to expose high school students to biotechnology via educational networking events, summer science student competitions, laboratory rotations, and industry internships. This individual will be responsible for the execution of the vision of the project, line-managing a Technical Administrator and several STEM Pathways Mentors, managing the project budget. We are deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and are looking for an individual who is passionate about STEM education/outreach and shares our commitment to DEI in STEM. This position is 100% grant funded for an initial term of 3 years with a strong chance for renewal. The position is contingent on the continued availability of research funding, and satisfactory performance.
B.S. in any STEM field, with 2-4 years of experience working with STEM outreach programs or activities. Or a M.S. in STEM education, and 1-2 years of experience working with STEM outreach programs or activities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
2 + years of administrative experience (budgeting, reporting, etc.)
References speaking to your leadership, administrative, and outreach experiences and abilities
