The World Languages Subject Matter Expert is responsible for authoring World Languages (Spanish) content across different delivery methods (print and digital) and platforms in alignment with guidance from the Product Manager and Learning Designer. Responsible for the quality of content, both at the authoring stage and throughout the use of the customer lifecycle.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Authors content across different delivery methods (print and digital) and platforms, as discipline needs require.

  • Authors assessment, narrative, video, Alt Text, and any other content necessary for discipline/course creation

  • Tags existing and new content with appropriate metadata as discipline needs require.

  • Measures and evaluates disciplines content quality in a continuous improvement model capturing and analyzing metrics to provide insights, and assess impact

  • Develops content review standards and authoring guidelines for discipline needs

  • Provide quality control (QC) for external SMEs, as discipline needs require.

  • Resolves discipline-specific content related support issues

Skills You Will Need Here:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree in Spanish, foreign language education, or related sub-discipline as required (Masters or above)

  • Deep subject matter expertise

  • At least 1 year of World Languages teaching experience

  • Highly detail-oriented

  • Experience writing content across types (print and digital; narrative, assessment, video, etc.)

  • Ability to author/create content in CL systems

PREFERRED

  • Experience with metadata tagging and accessibility standards

  • Comfortable acting as talent in educational videos

  • Knowledge of learning design and instructional design methodologies

  • Additional expertise in French, German, and/or Italian
