Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians Surgical Pathologist in Boston, Massachusetts
The Department of Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking to recruit a full-time Surgical Pathologist with subspecialty training in genitourinary or gynecologic pathology.
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is a 631-bed tertiary care major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School and a member institution of the Beth Israel Lahey Health network.
The position entails subspecialty sign-out and a role in training fellows, residents and medical students in diagnostic surgical pathology. A second area of subspecialty interest in surgical pathology and/or an interest in informatics or digital pathology would be welcome. The successful candidate will be expected to advance academically at Harvard Medical School by developing a program of scholarship, participating in research projects and having a leading presence in national meetings and post-graduate courses.
Applicants must hold an MD or MD/PhD degree and board certification in Anatomic Pathology, ideally be fellowship trained in a subspecialty area of surgical pathology, and be qualified to obtain a medical license in Massachusetts. We are seeking a surgical pathologist who shares our vision of excellence in academic pathology. The academic rank at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and academic record.
