Job Description
The
Corcoran Center for Real Estate and Urban Action seeks a Program Coordinator to
assist in the operation and expansion of the Corcoran Center Case Competition,
an innovative national undergraduate business case competition that engages
undergraduates across the country in the field of affordable housing, helping
to create the next generation of leaders in this vital field.
Reporting
to the Assistant Director, the Program Coordinator works with administrators and
faculty at Boston College, partner universities, prospective partners and
industry to run the best undergraduate Real Estate Competition in the country.
The Program Coordinator plays an essential role managing communications,
marketing and outreach, and executing programmatic activities.
Activities:
Professionally manage and coordinate competition activities
Assist competition leadership with effective coordination and execution competition events, both virtual and in-person, (when in person events resume)
Manage competition communications including competition email address and website. Draft and disseminate marketing materials.
Assist with the creation and dissemination of assessment mechanisms such as surveys and focus groups
Serve as the organizational hub of a national undergraduate student program.
Responsible for the management of the student participation process,
Judges, mentors, and consultant onboarding and communications, dissemination on case-related materials and student submissions.
Developed academically rigorous and professionally relevant Business Case
Collaborate with professional Case writer
Assist in the development of development case by managing documents, revision process, multimedia collateral
Actively support case competition expansion by researching potential partners, conducting outreach under the supervision of Center leadership
Maintain and lead regular update meetings with Center Leadership
Develop and maintain on campus communication
Actively recruit students to participate in the case competition from institutions nationally and from Boston College
Meet regularly with Boston College stakeholders to report progress
Other tasks as assigned
Hours: 18 hours.
This is a Temp non-benefits eligible position.
Requirements
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree & 1-5 years relevant experience in program coordination in a professional and or academic setting
Demonstrated success in marketing and communications
Strong technical skills, ability to work and collaborate seamlessly both virtually and in-person is required
Prior experience with affordable housing and real estate is a plus. Interest in learning more about affordable housing and real estate is essential
