Wolters Kluwer Training and Development Specialist - Content Lead in Boston, Massachusetts

The Training & Development Specialist performing as a Content Lead is responsible for overseeing the cataloging and maintenance of all training content, as well as some new course development as needed. The Content Lead will use strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to oversee the integrity of digital training content, and ensure it is current and continuously improved with each revision. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Drives the updating and/or re-designing of digital courses and materials.

  • Develops screen layouts, graphics, exercises, knowledge checks, and job aids appropriate to the content.

  • Maintains up to date catalog of all digital training content.

  • Works with L&E team, SMEs, management, consultants and related resources to ensure updated versions of courses and materials are produced according to target dates.

  • Provides insight into industry best practices, instructional, video and visual storytelling trends, and emerging platforms.

  • Facilitates meetings to gather information required for updates and/or new course development.

  • Maintains project documentation, including milestones, course folders, deliverables, stakeholders, etc.

Other Duties

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications


  • A 4-year bachelor’s degree in training, business, or similar or equivalent experience.

  • Master’s degree preferred.


  • 5+ years’ experience in training content development or relevant college coursework.

  • 2+ years experience working with Authoring Tools (Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise, Camtasia, Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (Workday Learning).

  • 1+ years experience with overseeing people, project milestones and deadlines.

  • Experience with Adobe Programs (Captivate, Photoshop, etc.).

  • Experience editing and producing videos.

  • Experience with scriptwriting.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must have ability to multi-task and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and flexibility in a busy office environment.

Travel requirements

  • 5- 10% for team meetings when necessary (as US Government and CDC guidelines allow)

Physical Demands

  • Normal office environment. This position is a remote, home-based position
