The Academic Resource Center at Emmanuel College provides resources and direct services to aid students in their quest for academic success. Services include a popular peer tutoring and study group program, academic coaching, workshops for academic success, and disability support services, among others. The Tutor Coordinator facilitates and oversees tutoring staff and operations of the tutoring and study group program and assists students and faculty in matters relating to the program. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of the Academic Resource Center, the primary responsibilities of the Tutor Coordinator include:

*Recruit, hire, and train all new tutors and study partners *Coordinate the peer tutoring and study group program, including selecting Lead Tutors; facilitating arrangements for study groups; conferring on tutor payroll and budget; facilitating new and continuing tutor trainings, meetings, and check-ins; and tracking tutor hours and tutee appointments through the online system and other measures *Communicate with individual faculty and ARC staff concerning the tutoring and study group program *Develop and maintain tutoring materials for the tutoring program and the campus community *Produce reports/statistics monthly, by semester, and annually *Based on one's strengths, provide workshops and/or tutoring for academic strategies, college transition, writing or other academic subjects when needed *Maintain high morale, and insist on good customer service with a user-friendly attitude *Collaborate with the ARC staff and college community in provision of the tutoring and study group program *Attend appropriate college functions *Other assignments as necessary

This 40-week (10 month) full-time position requires some flexibility with scheduling; excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, writing, and communication skills; an ability to work with a diverse student population with different levels of academic preparedness; solid presentation/teaching skills; solid computer skills with MSWord, Excel, Zoom, and online systems; and a collaborative, personable approach that sets students at ease.

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred in related field, along with 2+ years of experience in engaging in tutoring, training, mentoring and/or supervising staff. Familiarity with CRLA tutor certification program and WCOnline a plus.
