Commonwealth Care Alliance Virtual Learning Program Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

The Virtual Learning Program Manager will oversee the operation and development of online e-learning programs and computer-based virtual courses. This role will be responsible for selecting or producing media to use during training to engage the user. Position requires expertise in AV production, recording, editing, graphic design, and Learning Management System (LMS) administration. This role will be responsible for maintaining CCA’s LMS (HealthStream) catalog of modules, student groups, assignments, and should be proficient with LMS administration, ideally with HealthStream.

This role will act as the lead LMS administrator, coordinating with other LMS administrators across the organization. They will work to improve the organization of student groups and modules within the system and provide guidance on any current and future increased proficiencies or enhancements. To ensure that CCA eLearning offerings are high-quality and effective, this person will be responsible for reporting evaluation data of modules, incorporating user feedback, and coordinating with the production team (Subject Matter Experts) when courses need revisions or updating.

The Virtual Learning Program Manager position will report to the VP, Organizational Development and Learning

  • Gather information and course elements from members, internal departments, SMEs (subject matter experts), and others.

  • Develop and design learning material, coordinate, and review educational content, and incorporate current technology in developing specific eLearning curricula.

  • Support the deployment of learning programs including uploading and updating courseware and curricula, training assignments, learner notification text in LMS.

  • Utilize knowledge of LMS capabilities to recommend delivery strategies that yield a rich, meaningful, and dynamic end-user experience.

  • Develop instructor guides, student guides, and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.

  • Apply creative instructional design with an emphasis on multimedia

  • Apply interaction design and interactive learning principles to instructional solutions for adult learners

  • Work closely with other departments developing training to provide expertise on design standards and best practices when developing and deploying online training

  • Ensure CCA’s online education program is high-quality and effective to ensure the entire organization is provided the training needed to perform

  • Present ongoing initiatives and provide best practices for course production projects, LMS administration, and complex problem solving to senior management

  • Work cross-functionally with LMS users to ensure staff are receiving the proper training

  • Collaborate with other LMS administrators within CCA and act as the main point of contact with the HealthStream representatives

  • Lead resource for LMS Support email inbox

  • SCORM development preferably using Articulate Storyline 360

  • Presentation development using Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Graphic Design and Video Production using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite

  • Communicate on-going production status updates to project team, including any predictable barriers impacting timely completion of deliverables

  • Work in a team setting and also perform effectively independently with the ability to problem solve complex problems

  • Adhere to all applicable compliance requirements and CCA Code of ConductStay current with education technology standards and research new technology

  • Research, test, pilot, and launch any new education technology

  • Train team members and other staff as needed on new technology – including conferencing applications, LMS use, and other education or multimedia applications

  • Coordinate and facilitate webinar activities, invites, and quick tips.

  • Lend expertise in the technical aspects of eLearning to internal CCA departments, as requested

  • Collaborate with internal teams, external teams, and management to ensure requirements are being met and projects are kept on schedule.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s Degree and equivalent work experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience as an LMS Administrator

  • 3-5 years’ experience developing eLearning

  • Proficiency with Articulate, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems, Data Reporting, and Project Coordination

  • Demonstrate good working relationships with creative teams and clinicians

  • Understand target audiences

  • Proficiency in production workflow

  • Excellent organization skills

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with senior management to provide updates and insight into best practices for ongoing priorities

  • Detail oriented and takes pride in their work

  • Ability to self-motivate and innovate to problem solve complex problems

  • Prioritize multiple on-going projects to meet deadlines

  • Process feedback effectively and adjust to provide high-quality products within project timelines
