Job Title: Reach Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are currently seeking motivated candidates to join our team as warehouse workers. The role involves picking and preparing orders by walking up different aisles, operating at a fast pace to ensure orders are completed for the day. You will be trained to operate a reach truck that may need to reach up to 50 feet or a cherry picker that will elevate you up to 50 feet, with proper safety harnesses. The job also includes picking products and loading trucks.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare orders using a cart, ensuring a quick and efficient pace

• Operate reach trucks and cherry pickers to reach heights of up to 50 feet

• Load trucks with picked products

• Use RF scanners and scan guns for inventory and order management

• Assist with material handling and warehouse distribution tasks

Essential Skills

• Ability to operate at a fast pace

• Prior warehouse experience of at least 6 months preferred

• Willingness to be trained on material handling equipment such as reach trucks, cherry pickers, and ride-along pallet jacks

• Experience with picking, packing, loading, and using RF scanners and scan guns

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates will be considered if they can meet company standards and pace

• Professional attitude and team-oriented mindset

Why Work Here?

This is a brand-new warehouse with plans to double its internal headcount over the next three months. The industry supported is hospitals, which operate continuously regardless of holidays, weather, or other disruptions. Employees who convert at the one-year mark will earn 24 PTO days per year and receive a 401K match of up to half of 5%.

Work Environment

This is a 380,000 square foot distribution center with brand-new equipment and racks. The fast-paced warehouse culture encourages everyone to do their job and support one another. The environment includes loud music for everyone to enjoy while working. Shifts are mostly 10 hours but can extend up to 12 hours when necessary. The night shift operates from 2 pm to 12:30 am, Sunday through Thursday, with current openings available. The dress code is professional for a warehouse setting, with steel-toe shoes required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boylston, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
