The Human Resource Generalist primary responsibilities include but are not limited to facilitation of Human Resources contributions to the management of HRIS system, administration of pay, benefits, leaves of absence, Worker's Compensation and Unemployment Insurance while driving best practice in compliance, reporting, performance management, compensation management and employee relations issues leading to optimal operational success, employee engagement and satisfaction. The HRG will provide support to employees with all HR-related topics resolving issues independently and with support from HRD and employee Manager as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Support HR Director with compliance, reporting, benefits administration, performance management, compensation management.

  • Manage employee records with confidentiality, proactively auditing and updating the HRIS (ADP) with current information to ensure data integrity and cleanliness. Executes all personnel change action requests in Payroll system.

  • Provide support to employees with all HR-related topics and resolving issues with support of necessary relevant parties.

  • Manage benefits administration, enrollment, and reporting, as well as work with benefit vendors and benefits broker to help manage the benefits open enrollment process.

  • Responsible for active, full-cycle management of and communication to team member and manager around all LOA and ADA cases, applying a solid understanding of state and federal laws, with assistance and support from the and the HRD

  • With HRD guidance and support, develop training & development initiatives across the organization.

  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.

  • Plan, develop, organize, and implement various HR programs and projects on an as needed basis to support the growth of the organization and its employees.

  • Manage and/or assist with collection of data needed to complete government compliance activities (5500s, audits, etc.), employee mailings, vendor billings, coordinating data collection and updating benefits reports to leadership.

  • Assures processes and procedures are in place to capture and maintain consistent and accurate benefit related data.

  • Supports annual benefits open enrollment and assists with benefits communications.

  • Assist with monthly HR Metrics as well as annual metrics and KPI reports as well as management of all regularly scheduled and as needed HR reports.

  • Assist with and contribute to updating of Employee Handbook as needed.

  • Create, design, and implement employee recognition programs, including Caregiver of the Month, Caregiver appreciation events, and others as developed.

  • Conduct initial orientation for newly hired employees.

  • Ensuring compliance with all recruitment and onboarding processes and always maintaining confidentiality.

  • Support Vitra Health's Return to Work Policies as a member of the Human Resources team.

  • Provide guidance for Policies and Procedures related to employee, leaves, and occupational health standards.

  • Collaborate with Worker's Compensation designee to assess the employee's continuous medical needs and; ensure necessary documentation is completed and given to the appropriate parties.

  • With HR Director, work to maintain and understanding of competitive compensation and internal equity across departments, positions, and the organization.

  • Foster culture of customer service and commitment to quality care.

  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Vitra reflecting our vision, mission, and values.

  • Show a genuine interest and compassion for the communities we serve and commitment to the diversity of our clients and team members.Mentors and supports team members.

Education, Experience and Licensure Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

  • 5+ years' experience in a human resources generalist, human resources business partner, people operations, benefits administration, compensation, talent acquisition, or related role

  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures and employment law

  • Experience with HRIS, ATS, Microsoft Suite and Google Suite

  • Experience with ADP and/or BreezyHR preferred.

  • Experience delivering against ambitious targets, in a fast-paced, often ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment.

  • Desire to work as a team with a “results driven” approach.

  • Strong time management and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with close attention to detail

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

Physical and Environmental Demands:

  • Works in a clean well-lit environment with fluctuating temperatures in close proximity to others. Requires substantial periods of repetitive work utilizing a computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

  • Requires lifting and carrying equipment and supplies weighing up to 35 pounds; requires pushing and pulling equipment and supplies weighing up to 35 pounds; requires walking and standing; requires frequent sitting more than 75% of the workday; requires the ability to negotiate stairs; requires visual acuity and manual dexterity to operate equipment.
