Job Description:

GYNECOLOGY ONCOLOGIST

LAHEY HOSPITAL AND MEDICAL CENTER –

BURLINGTON, MA

The Division of Gynecology at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, a member of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking BC/BE Gynecology Oncologist to join our established Gynecologic Oncology program. The position is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic practice, which offers minimally invasive and robotic surgery in a multi-specialty group practice setting. Our Gynecologic Oncologists provide full-scope gynecologic cancer care and have the opportunity to provide IV chemotherapy through The Lahey Cancer Center as well as participate in research and clinical trials through The Lahey Health Cancer Institute. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in teaching and will have a full academic appointment at the medical school.

Lahey Hospital & Medical Center

The Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, Division of Gynecology consists of nine physicians and five advanced practitioners specializing in general gynecology, urogynecology, and gynecologic oncology across three outpatient offices in Burlington, Peabody, and Lexington. The division sees over 27,000 outpatient visits and performs over 1,400 surgeries per year. It is a recognized Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery with a certified AAGL MIGS fellowship program. Gynecology residents rotate from both Boston Medical Center and Tufts Medical Center. There are three XI Robotic systems with teaching consoles and the newly renovated Samuel & Nancy Jo Altschuler Simulation Center for professional education opportunities.

Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, a 347-bed tertiary care facility, outpatient clinic and Level I trauma center located in Burlington, MA, is a physician-led, multi-disciplinary group practice of more than 500 physicians. We maintain several accredited residency and fellowship programs and are an academic affiliate of University of Massachusetts Medical School.
