The Oracle Sales Academy is a high-growth, fast-paced organization responsible for designing and delivering high-impact learning solutions to enable modern selling for Oracle’s global sales force including Oracle Digital, our inside salesforce. We are looking for a passionate Instructional Designer to participate in assessing, defining and developing learning solutions to address specific learning needs across the global sales organizations.
The Enablement Specialist will produce dynamic and highly interactive courseware to support the training programs defined by the business, program managers and our performance partners. This includes conducting needs assessments, designing and developing training courseware in a variety of delivery modes (e.g., instructor led training, self-paced training, virtual, blended), performing train the trainer sessions, measurement and process improvement. The Enablement Specialist will also work with various cross-functional teams to ensure that our learning solutions are informed and aligned with business needs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sales enablement, extensive expertise in instructional design, including production of scalable learning solutions, a high degree of creativity and problem solving and project management. They will be part of a team that will be building the foundation of knowledge for Oracle’s Inside Sales Force, supporting new hires in on-boarding, continuous learning for career development plus manager reinforcement and coaching. Candidate should be self-starter with high energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment, have excellent communication, facilitation and persuasive skills, both written and verbal and have the ability to build strong relationships and navigate through senior stakeholder discussions.
Preferred Skills Include:
Perform needs analysis, scope projects, and evaluate existing materials to identify the most appropriate training approach and content to meet the learning needs of Oracle Digital
Design and develop creative training programs, modules, and materials in multiple modalities, including synchronous remote learning methodologies, blended classroom learning, interactive e-learning modules, videos, infographics and facilitator guides
Collaborate with a global training team as well as subject matter experts (SMEs) to support various program and project initiatives
Develop assessment strategies that conform to OSPA accreditation standards and processes
Support the evaluation of individual classroom modules and courses, as well as instructional programs
Manage complex relationships with OD stakeholders in an environment with short deadlines and high business impact
Effectively manage cross-functional projects from initiation to evaluation
Role requires 30% travel
Minimum qualifications Include:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
8 years of instructional design experience/background
Experience in Sales and Sales Enablement plus knowledge in the Applications, Technology or Hardware sectors
Experience with sales skills, sales methodologies, go-to market strategies, onboarding and continuous learning
Knowledge and proven application of instructional theories and adult learning principles in multi-modal instruction
Experience with learning management systems and software including Adobe Captivate and Camtasia Studio
Knowledge of a variety of instructional media including instructor-led, blended, flipped, online, mobile and virtual instructor-led training
Ability to communicate with a variety of audiences and engage and influence stakeholders
Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic and changing environment

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
The Instructional Designer will produce the courseware to support the training programs defined by Program Managers. This includes conducting needs assessments to identify strategically aligned learning and development initiatives, designing and developing training courseware in a variety of delivery modes (e.g., instructor led training, self-paced training, virtual, blended), managing external vendors to collaborate in content creation, as well as providing input on measures regarding business impact and effectiveness of deployed learning solutions.
Creates courseware design, development, and deployment strategy for world class blended learning programs that are experiential, drive behavior change and increase performance within our global Sales business units. Develop learning curricula that align with learning and performance strategies. Manages the design and execution of junior staff creating courseware. Build and maintain valued relationship with key internal and external stakeholders. Develop assessment approaches that conform to global accreditation strategies and processes. Evaluate the business impact of learning programs through use of learning and performance metrics.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Recognized as a subject-matter expert within Oracle. Typically 8 plus years relevant experience in Sales and Sales Enablement plus knowledge in the Applications, Technology or Hardware sectors is needed. Coaching and Project Management experience across a variety of delivery mediums. Deep experience designing and developing learning programs across delivery mediums (mobile learning, e-learning, virtual learning, live simulation, and live classroom). Proficient in establishing learning and performance metrics and measurements (ROI and Benchmarking). Strong in building relationships and maintaining relationships. Experience in analyzing business needs and selling value to customers. Previous project/program management experience. Experience delivering facilitation, training, coaching and/or development of learning programs. Self starter with high energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment. Excellent communication, facilitation and persuasive skills, both written and verbal. Ability to build strong relationships and navigate through senior stakeholder discussions. Experience leveraging standard eLearning tools and web-based meeting tools. Team player. Leadership skills. Business travel of up to 30 percent annually may be expected of this position. Knowledge of Instructional design authoring tools preferred. Fluency in English, working knowledge of other languages is an asset. Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
