Oversees and coordinates the administrative functions that support the Early Clinical Learning Activities for UMass Chan Lahey students.

Job Description:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Building out and maintaining Blackboard Learn (BBL) and ensuring that the correct materials are available every block. Building out the yearly ECL schedule. Providing students with their weekly schedules, timing of each activity, and any necessary prep work

  • Coordinating quarterly faculty retreats for ECL leadership, LC mentors and ECL small group faculty Identify and meet with guest faculty to prep panelists, BCF, and other guests for specific DCS sessions.

  • Coordinating OSCE's (Objective Structured Clinical Examinations). Assuring that grading from each experience is complete.

  • Coordinating and helping to schedule longitudinal preceptors. Coordinating and maintaining the small group facilitator schedule.

  • Working closely with ECL Director to execute all program needs, including but not limited to: reserving rooms, coordinating standardized patients, finalizing dates, coordinating and securing equipment, setting up the equipment, creating and finalizing schedules.

  • Organizing and maintaining schedule of meetings, appointments and events related to the department. Providing support to the UMass Chan Lahey Department and conducting special projects as required.

  • Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.

Minimum Qualifications :

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Licensure, Certification & Registration:

None

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of healthcare experience.

  • Relevant academic administration in an academic medical center or medical school is preferred.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Must be able to type and be comfortable using Microsoft Office including Word and Excel and learning new computer programs.

  • Must possess excellent verbal and writing skills.

  • The ability to perform independently and to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
