BAE Systems Tech Intern - High School (Summer 2023) in Burlington, Massachusetts

This position is for Class of 2023 graduating high school students who have participated in MIT Beaver Works Summer Institute, and are planning to pursue a Bachelor's degree in the fields of computer science, software engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or similar. Those selected for this position will gain hands-on experience to complement their upcoming technical course work. The intern will be assigned related roles for their field on programs or special projects consistent with the level of education and experience of the individual candidate. In this capacity, the intern will work independently but under the guidance of a mentor to learn about engineering principles and technical development specific to BAE Systems. The duties of an intern could include but may not be limited to programming, unit testing, developing test procedures, analyzing test results, troubleshooting or documentation.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Participants in MIT Beaver Works Summer Institute during the summer of 2022
Current high school student who will complete their senior year by Spring 2023 and will be 18 years of age.
Candidate(s) should be planning to enroll in a four year engineering, technical or related degree program, starting in Fall 2023.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Knowledge of one or more higher level programming language such as C, C , C# or Java
Group project experience
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Strong communication skills
Passion for learning
