PROGRAM MANAGER, Sloan School of Management, to perform complex and diverse duties in support of the development of the curricular and extra-curricular educational offerings for the Sustainability Initiative. Will be responsible for flagship course design and delivery, case writing support, extra-curricular programming design and delivery, and program development for alumni/executive action learning and roundtable offerings. Course design and delivery includes continuous review and improvement of existing courses, developing learning aids such a PowerPoints and visual tools, designing course evaluations, syllabus development, and providing marketing support to recruit students. Case writing support includes identifying opportunities for new case creation and writing and/or finding and managing external case writers. Extra-curricular programming design and delivery includes managing weekly lunch talks with professionals in the field of sustainability; evaluating content against student needs for learning and career opportunities; and managing day-to-day operations, e.g., catering, room scheduling, liaising with speakers, and providing marketing support to recruit attendees. Executive Action Learning support includes identifying alumni and practitioners in identified sustainability fields, developing content for discussion, and managing periodic gatherings.
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; at least four years’ experience in program management or content design and development in an academic environment or related experience; domain knowledge in sustainability; excellent project design and management and verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel; proven track record in curriculum development; clear understanding of continuous improvement; research skills (literature review, survey, and interviews); commitment to providing high quality work; and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Teaching experience would be an advantage. Experience with MIT and/or the Sloan School desirable. Job #15608-O
