ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, GUEST AND CONFERENCE HOUSING, Housing, to implement a comprehensive summer housing optimization strategy for all visitors, guests, and summer programs. The strategy will factor in current residence halls and an analysis of the best mix of students, academic programs, and conferences with the goal of maximizing revenue. Will work with Housing and Residential Services’ staff on the development of customer service expectations and training throughout the academic year; assist with the coordination, implementation, and management of initiatives as assigned; assist the associate director with the organization, analysis, and distribution of data, document production, and reporting; and develop, implement, and manage summer housing for special non-MIT student leadership/educational programs, educational conferences, and sponsored guest housing. Will be very involved (50% of the time) in the summertime, coordinating each groups' stay on campus. This will involve oversight of facility reservations and preparation, services while in residence, facility turnover, the check-in/check-out process, keys and card access, billing/account reconciliation, and payment verification. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred); at least five years’ experience in the areas of housing, facilities, dining administration, operations, conferences, and/or project management; proven ability to work in a diverse community environment; strong organizational, analytical, and statistical skills; ability to develop and maintain databases and produce progress reports; demonstrated record of critically analyzing issues, developing plans, and implementing strategies; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and proficiency with the use of computer software for creating spreadsheets and formal reports and web design and maintenance.
