Research and develop program content and materials, analyze program mapping and demand; recommend improvements
Lead review and assessment of new program proposals, curriculum, and new format designs
Lead development of marketing and sales outreach strategy; foster and maintain relationships with external clients to increase interest and participation in programs
Lead program portfolio development which may include recommendation and implementation of enrollment processes, program scheduling, and grading processes; establish administrative workflows
Develop strong working relationships with faculty, staff, and external clients associated with the program; manage scope of delivery and regularly inform stakeholders of program related activity and/or decisions
Manage vendor relationships and lead contract negotiations for goods and services
May manage program budget to achieve financial goals
Develop specialized reports and analyze statistics to define and evaluate program success and track and comply with any reporting requirements
Lead the strategic direction of program delivery to improve programs and department processes, policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with University policies and procedures and applicable legal rules and regulations
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
Minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience
As Associate Director you will:
Work with Faculty Director and Executive Director to set department goals, including long term financial planning and strategic decision-making regarding program sustainability, potential new markets and new program development and delivery models (residential, online, hybrid).
As a member of the HLS EE management team, collaborate to help drive engagement and professional growth, accountability, teamwork and productivity at the program level, including overseeing the workload distribution within and across programs.
Lead the financial planning and oversight for the department. Responsibilities include annual budgeting and forecasting; creating and monitoring metrics to assess the financial impact and performance of programs; liaison to HLS finance office; supervising day-to-day financial administration including, receivables/payables, payment reminders, exceptions to payment policies (for participants), refunds, and faculty payments.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of HLS EE operating processes, protocols and templates that support the design, delivery, administration of best-in-class executive programs. Ensure that processes are applied consistently across programs and help identify best practices by learning from other executive education programs across the University and in the external market.
Help lead performance management processes, including annual performance reviews, mid-year check-ins, and work planning for all assigned staff. Advocate for training, development and promotion as appropriate within assigned team. Provide direct, timely feedback to team, both positive and developmental.
Manage and cultivate relationships with existing and potential new independent contractors and vendors, working closely with HR and Finance to ensure compliance with applicable policies and working with HLSEE management team to optimize important external relationships.
