Breakthrough Innovation Project Manager

As a Project Manager supporting Breakthrough Innovation, this role will focus on managing and driving projects that align with the portfolio's objectives. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for the Ambulatory Monitoring & Diagnostic Innovation Lab in Cambridge, MA, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

Your role:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to take on the dual role of Project Manager and Innovation Lab Support. This unique position combines overseeing R&D and customer-focused projects with the responsibility of supporting and maintaining an innovation lab, showcasing our cutting-edge work and Proof of Concept (PoC) demonstrations. The ideal candidate will excel at managing diverse projects while ensuring the smooth operation of the lab environment, ensuring that both customer-facing and internal project needs are met with precision and excellence.

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations, while monitoring progress and adjusting as needed. Prepare and present regular status reports to senior leadership, clients, and other stakeholders.

  • Maintain and oversee the Innovation Lab that serves as a space for Proof of Concept (PoC) demonstrations for customers, showcasing our R&D projects.

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design, set up, and update PoCs for client presentations, ensuring they are functional, engaging, and informative.

  • Coordinate lab demonstrations, ensuring that all logistics are in place, and customers have a seamless and impactful experience.

  • Work with the marketing team to create promotional material and collateral for lab demonstrations.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of project management experience, R&D or product development in Healthcare or MedTech industry.

  • Project Management Expertise: Proven track record in managing customer-facing projects successfully, with strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex ideas to clients and internal teams and working effectively both independently and in teams.

  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Familiarity with R&D and PoC concepts, a keen interest in innovation, and proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, Trello).

  • Problem-Solving & Professionalism: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure with a high level of professionalism.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in (Cambridge, MA) is $126,000 to $201,600

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
