Must be a quick learner, self-starter and possess a strong commitment to continuous process improvement; must be able to understand the general mission of the Program in Medical Education (PME) and possess/develop a working knowledge of the HMS curriculum.Department:PME, Office of Curriculum ServicesPre-Employment Screening:Identity Schedule:35 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 9:00 am- 5:00 pmJob Function:General Administration Duties & Responsibilities:Reporting to the Associate Director of Curriculum Services, Teaching and Learning Technologies in the Office of Curriculum Services (OCS), the Learning Technologies Coordinator works independently and collaboratively to provide a high level of administrative coordination to educational technology initiatives across the HMS MD curriculum. The individual plays a key role in the strategy support and implementation of the Canvas learning management system and its varied instructional tools. The Coordinator similarly supports several other technology platforms as well. These efforts require close collaboration and sharing of best practices with staff from other Program in Medical Education (PME) offices in similar roles who support the same systems. In collaboration with the Director and Associate Director of Curriculum Services, as well as senior staff in the PME Office of Educational Quality Improvement (OEQI), the individual plays a coordinating and editorial role in the inventory and mapping of curricular learning objectives using the OASIS web application. On the ExamSoft platform, the Coordinator plays a similar role in the inventory and organization of assessment items and performs essential reporting and data management tasks. The Coordinator may also provide support for concept video production using screencasting software and video editing tools, custom e-learning content development on the Articulate platform and other flipped classroom and blended learning sessions. In support of faculty and other team members in OCS, the individual coordinates all aspects of anatomy education and logistics across the curriculum and the utilization of virtual anatomy applications in particular. The Coordinator will play a role in testing and/or researching instructional technology applications and assisting course faculty in these areas. The individual assists with student focus groups related to technology, taking notes and following up on action items. The Coordinator serves as the office point person for all course-related medical simulation session logistics. With oversight from the Associate Director, the Coordinator is the primary content publisher for the OCS public website and department’s internal wiki, including the publication of available teaching opportunities and collection of teaching interest responses from faculty.
