  • Master’s or other advanced degree preferred.

  • Proficiency with office productivity and collaboration software, as well as business applications, required.

+ + Oversee application processing and evaluation, including committees, with an orientation towards continuous improvement; ensure the admissions process aligns with Harvard FAS and College principles/values and enrolls a talented and diverse incoming class.

  • Lead office-wide efforts to reimagine the admissions process and related activities in a rapidly changing and increasingly virtual context.

  • With Dean, develop and implement admissions policies; evaluate and revise in light of changing national or international trends.

  • Supervise five direct reports representing an overall team of 18 staff.

  • Responsible for effective staff management, including training, development, workloads, performance, and retention, and continued development of a diverse, inclusive, and innovative community.

  • Coordinate the FAS Faculty Committee on Admissions; develop and oversee faculty application review process.

  • Serve as liaison to Harvard College, FAS academic divisions, SEAS, and other administrative offices involved in enrolling and supporting students; represent undergraduate admissions to external constituencies.

  • Oversee the athletic review process to ensure compliance with University and Ivy League regulations, as well as Transfer and Visiting Undergraduate Student (VUS) admissions.

  • Provide strategic oversight for international admissions and alumni/ae engagement & interviewing.

  • Manage and oversee admissions budget.

  • Leverage technology, other tools, and resources to effectively manage the application process.

  • Read and evaluate admissions applications; may chair Admissions subcommittees.

Job Summary:Reporting to the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, provides administrative and strategic leadership for the admission process and manages day-to-day operations for the Harvard College Office of Admissions and Financial Aid.
