EDUCATION AND OUTREACH SPECIALIST, Division of Comparative Medicine (DCM), to oversee and implement a comprehensive education and outreach program for DCM employees and the research community who work with animal models. Will develop content for training sessions and educational outreach (i.e., DCMtv, ecourses, in-person training); participate in the planning of classroom instruction, electronic learning, and multimedia programs; assess learning and development needs/requirements for research and DCM staff; coordine trainings and animal handling wet labs; interface with subject matter experts on developing training materials; determine and review training requirements and monitor compliance; and continuously update training information. This position involved interaction with researchers as well as DCM staff.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: undergraduate degree, preferably in animal science, biology or related field; three years of applicable experience in a laboratory animal research or other veterinary setting, including experience training others; excellent interpersonal, organizational, and animal handling skills; and technical experience.
