EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIST, MITx, Office of Digital Learning (ODL), to facilitate and support the use of the edX platform for the development and deployment of MITx course content (on-campus courses and MOOCs). Will work across multiple disciplines and complete a variety of tasks to assist the ET team. Responsibilities include working closely with the manager of educational technology and senior educational technologists to provision courses, performing technical audits of course content, updating records, building sample course content, troubleshooting user access issues, and performing other duties as needs arise. Will work with a range of technologies as required for course development and must be prepared to learn new skills as necessary.
REQUIRED: a four-year college degree; at least one year of work experience using web-based learning, authoring, or publication systems; problem solving skills; working knowledge of standard web markup languages and best practices (HTML/CSS); self-motivation; excellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships with teammates, staff, and business partners; and flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly changing platform/environment. Must be able to support multiple projects concurrently and demonstrate strong task management skills and attention to detail. An interest in online education is preferred.
